BOLTR: Milwaukee Pump | Box Specs vs. Shop Specs

Milwaukee Transfer Pump works ok, as long as you don't expect it to do what it says on the box. Thank you for keeping us a corpo BS free zone! http://www.Patreon.com/AvE

What else do I want you to test? Ear protection / noise cancelling headphones. Flavors of the same thing. Seems to me that with a styrofoam wig dummy, a couple of microphones where the ear holes would be, your silly scope and a white noise generator we could figure out if those $us10 headphones were worth a damn, if the $1us ear plugs did enough, and if the noise cancelling headphone really are worth $200?
Justin Ulrich (1 day ago)
I'd guess they test similar to how they test car amps and speakers for max ratings - in a walk in cooler/freezer at just above freezing point and they take the peak momentary results and stretch them to fit whatever time/rating frame they are looking for. Would be a place to start anyhow if you wanted to attempt to replicate it and about the right time of year to do it cheaply just outside your garage.

Fuckinlove these videos and I agree, companies in so many fields and it's giant in the Wal-Mart car and home audio sections to just claim 1000watts peak power... I'm like when? When a sine wave at 1K is clipping to a square wave and someone shorts the wire and the capacitors dump a surge through the trannysisters and the magic fireworks fly out it's rectum? A stretch but I've been picking up your humor a bit XD but they will really see like 30-250watts rms and peak voltage at even dcr never seems to come near these mythical numbers.
Gary Miller (29 days ago)
It's not heat shrink. It's a common style semi protected spade connector.
We've had one at my previous job for a over a year now. Used it mostly for pumping hydraulic fluid. It's been absolutely fabulous. Fuck the job to high hell, but that pump turned a two man job with a big ass air driven pump into one man carting around a 55 gallon drum with that chucked on top. Even worked fairly well to empty plugged drain pits in a pinch.
Milfuckies 🤭😂😂

those old 2 stroker Detroits are in mining carts, i took one apart in school once. what a pain to get the pistons back in. you need a special piston ring compressor for it. cool engines though probably in my top 3

Those are user shrink seals, once it gets its first hot dinner, it will self shrink. Lol, that’s how the warranty Dept knows if the pump was run hard.,
Michael Souther (1 month ago)
Isn't the valve a little bit closed when you put the 9.0 on? Would that make the pump work harder thus draining the battery faster?

What about testing out the Milwaukee mag drill? I'm more of a dewalt kind of guy but there is a young apprentice I work with and he wont stop talking about Milwaukee no matter how much I ignore him or "accidentally" drop my hammer and screwdriver off the lift.

Looks like pvc from here. But polypropylene has a good stink to it. I thought lexan was polycarbonate. Anyways good video but I still would give that punp the swerve.

I'm surprised they didnt use an excursion hone to deburr that pump chamber, put the pump body on the pump, pull the handle and push the abrasive putty through, and BAM, no sharp edges no returns or recall risks. 😑. And it'd be faster then an hand tool...

as a plumber, i see no use for this tool i use another method to drain a tank. i can just see its use for very small fluid moving applications that would be very rare maby fleet maintnance??? gasoline transfer is the only real useable application i have for this tool if it is specd for that. i thought about it more if i had a trailer with a water tank i would want this.

I’ve seen the flange on aircraft valves break right off when the improper size O-ring is used. Cram an O-ring that fits perfectly in the groove and once you meet the two components together and clamp them the O-ring has no where to go and the cast aluminum flange cracks right off.

What actually stops them using another, larger pump, to push that amount through the pump. Hence, the pump can pump 480g p/h. They will simply claim it is indicative of what it could handle . . .

If it uses the fluid as a heat transfer, would it get to hot if you used it to pump hot water out of a water heater?

Ahhh, I happened to notice that you never had the outlet hand valve completely open...... Might the rated flow rate been possible if the hand valve had been fully open? Just a random observation. ...
Filiberto Barrera (3 months ago)
You need inch and a 1/2 pipe on the inlet and 1and a half on the outlet for maximum water usage.
Mario Zam (3 months ago)
do you think you could use it as a gas pump?

inlet diameter is too small, can't tell just from the video but my guess it's like 60~70% of the hole in that aluminum head....so you kinda forgot what you said before yourself :) may out max in diameter and you can probably achieve what they claim why do i claim what i claim? see that air while the pump is pumping water? = resistance, it tries to pump more than the inlet allows

The cancer warnings on most electrical products refer to the power cords. The insulation is cured using dangerous chemical additives including lead, which remain in the cable. Technically you're supposed to wash your hands after handling any cable insulated with these types of plastic, and you'll generally find these warnings somewhere on any plug-in electrical product - usually as a tag on the cord itself but not always. Fun fact.

If you could find out the volume pumped by each lobe and RPM then get the number of lobes per second and get a theoretical max GPM value.

I actually used a drill pump when changing the hydraulic fluid in my motorcycle breaks.
Kevin Coffey (3 months ago)
I'm no fuckin expert, but I'll go out on a limb and say if you removed those ball valves, the pound of grease you installed on the impeller, and all that other shit you have attached to the CORDLESS pump, your findings might change

Frank Freeman (3 months ago)
I wonder if the small diameter and long length of that inlet hose would account for the under-spec performance? Pumps push but they don't pull. I bet their test was based on a large diameter inlet pipe about 1cm long or the actual number was "adjusted" to reflect that condition.

George Robles (3 months ago)
They're pumping down hill. So pressure on input and if run down hill on outlet then will eventually create a vacuum just by the weight of the liquid in the hose and it's a powered syphon at that point.
no avail (3 months ago)
God damn i love this fuckin guy
